Relationship-Led Job Search
Relationship-Led Job Search is a practical course for professionals who want to move beyond endless applications and build career opportunities through trust, conversations, referrals, and meaningful professional relationships.
Instead of relying only on job portals, this course helps you understand how the hidden job market works, how to build warm professional connections, and how to create opportunity pathways before you urgently need them. It is designed for professionals in career transition, job search, comeback, promotion readiness, or anyone who wants to build a stronger career network with intention.
What You Will Learn
You will work through eight action-based sub-modules:
1. Shift from Applications to Relationships
Understand why relying only on job applications limits your chances. Learn how relationships, referrals, and conversations create access to opportunities that may never appear publicly.
2. Map Your Opportunity Network
Identify the people already around you: former colleagues, managers, peers, clients, alumni, community members, and weak ties who may connect you to useful information or opportunities.
3. Create Your Career Conversation Script
Learn how to introduce yourself without sounding desperate, transactional, or confused. Build a simple, confident way to explain who you are, what you are exploring, and what kind of help you are seeking.
4. Run the 20-Minute Networking Meeting
Learn how to structure a short, respectful career conversation that builds trust, gathers insight, and opens the door for future referrals or introductions.
5. Ask for Referrals Without Feeling Awkward
Practise making clear, specific referral requests without guilt, over-explaining, or sounding pushy. Learn when to ask, how to ask, and how to make it easy for the other person to help.
6. Build Sponsor and Advocate Relationships
Understand the difference between mentors, supporters, sponsors, and advocates. Learn how to identify people who can speak for your value when opportunities are being discussed.
7. Follow Up and Stay Visible
Learn how to stay in touch after a conversation without becoming irritating. Build a simple follow-up rhythm that keeps relationships warm and makes your progress visible.
8. Turn Conversations into Opportunities
Learn how to convert insights, introductions, and referrals into interviews, collaborations, visibility, and career momentum.
Course Outcome
By the end of Relationship-Led Job Search, you will have a practical system for building career opportunities through people, not just portals. You will know who to reach out to, what to say, how to run meaningful conversations, how to ask for referrals, and how to stay visible without feeling fake or needy.
Core identity shift:
I do not wait for opportunities to appear. I build trusted relationships, create meaningful conversations, and open career doors through connection, credibility, and consistent follow-through.
